    why haven’t terrorists hit a data center? I suppose WTC and Pentagon are data centers, of a sort..

    Yes they are/were.

    Do you consider coders who write malicious virii terrorists?

    My personal datacenter has been hit numerous times by the 1940’s-era wiring in the walls… although I guess that’s really a facilities issue.

    Seriously, the distributed nature of the Googleplex[1] makes it highly resilient to infrastructure-level attacks and disasters. It’s the way all applications will be one day[2].
