[hbo's rome] box scores for season 2, so far

We’re three episodes into the second and final season of HBO/BBC’s excellent Rome, a show that distinguished itself last season with the perfect mix of nudity, honor, betrayal and abject violence.
Of course, since this is “history”, we all know how it ends: with Liz Taylor marrying Richard Burton in a rocket-fueled torpor. But things seems to be lopsided this season so far… let’s hope they’re saving up for the endgame:
| Category | Occurrences in Season 2 |
| Female full frontal nudity | 0, maybe 1? But not a main character. |
| Male full frontal nudity | 2, I think. One for sure (Brutus). |
| Brutal sodomy | 2, maybe 3 |
| "Geldings" (castration) | 2, none shown explicitly; one implied, one shown in aftermath. |
| Stumpings or Beheadings | 1, that mob boss got decapitated. Then Vorenus kept his head sitting in his bedroom for like a month. Awesome. |
| Double-headings | An embarrassing 0 |
| Pete Postlethwaite-looking meta-gladiators | 0. I don’t think we’ll see the likes of him again. |
| Banishments | 2-3, depending |
| Armies built | 1 (Octavian’s, allegedly now 10,000 strong) |
| Rampant paranoias | 1 (Vorenus is losing it) |
| Poisonings | 1 (soon…) |
| Ganja-smoking sessions | 1 |
| Awesome Roman tribadism | Sadly 0. The Ganja-smoking should have led to at least one. |
| References to the desire to see sex between Roman women and a baboon | The merest 1. But it was offered by the king of Turkey, so the reference has that royal air. |
| Number of times Pullo has told Vorenus that he loves him, but he’s [Vorenus] chosen darkness. | At least twice. Good old Pullo. |
